Delicious Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 6 cups of water or chicken broth
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 cup of diced carrots
  • 1 cup of diced celery
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

First, place the chicken and water or chicken broth in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let the chicken simmer until it is tender and cooked through. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pot and set it aside to cool.

Next, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set it aside. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add in the milk and butter and stir until the mixture forms a soft dough.
