If you're looking for a comforting and indulgent meal, this Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Bread recipe is the perfect choice. The creamy and savory Alfredo sauce pairs perfectly with the crispy garlic bread, making it a crowd-pleasing favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 slices of French bread
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions, and then drain and set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, for about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir until it comes to a simmer.
  7. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet with the sauce and toss until the pasta and chicken are coated in the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top of the dish.
  10. For the garlic bread, spread the softened butter and minced garlic over the slices of French bread.
  11. Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Serve the Chicken Alfredo with the garlic bread on the side.

Tips:

  • If you prefer a thinner sauce, you can add some chicken broth or pasta water to the skillet.
  • You can also add some sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers to the dish for extra flavor and texture.
  • If you want to make the dish more indulgent, you can add some crispy bacon or pancetta to the Alfredo sauce.
  • For a healthier option, you can use zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash instead of fettuccine pasta.
