If you're looking for a comforting and indulgent meal, this Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Bread recipe is the perfect choice. The creamy and savory Alfredo sauce pairs perfectly with the crispy garlic bread, making it a crowd-pleasing favorite.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 4 slices of French bread
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions, and then drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken strips to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, for about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir until it comes to a simmer.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet with the sauce and toss until the pasta and chicken are coated in the sauce.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top of the dish.
- For the garlic bread, spread the softened butter and minced garlic over the slices of French bread.
- Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the Chicken Alfredo with the garlic bread on the side.
Tips:
- If you prefer a thinner sauce, you can add some chicken broth or pasta water to the skillet.
- You can also add some sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers to the dish for extra flavor and texture.
- If you want to make the dish more indulgent, you can add some crispy bacon or pancetta to the Alfredo sauce.
- For a healthier option, you can use zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash instead of fettuccine pasta.
