If you're looking for a quick and simple dinner idea, this beef stir-fry recipe is perfect for you! With tender slices of beef, fresh vegetables, and a savory sauce, it's a crowd-pleaser that's sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish

First, toss the sliced flank steak with cornstarch until it's well-coated. This will help the beef stay tender and juicy during cooking.

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat and add vegetable oil. Once hot, add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.

Next, add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the wok and stir to combine.

Finally, add the cooked beef back to the wok and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and coated in the sauce.

Serve the beef stir-fry over steamed rice and garnish with thinly sliced green onions. Enjoy!
