Frozen Chicken Teriyaki with Rice Recipe – Quick and Delicious Meal

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound frozen chicken teriyaki
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add frozen chicken teriyaki and cook for 5-7 minutes, until browned on both sides.
  2. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add onion and bell peppers to the same skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic powder.
  5. Add the chicken back to the skillet with the vegetables and pour the soy sauce mixture over everything.
  6. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve the chicken and vegetables over cooked rice.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

Tips:

  • You can use fresh chicken teriyaki instead of frozen, just adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  • Feel free to add additional vegetables, such as broccoli or carrots, to the dish for extra nutrition.
  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes or Sriracha sauce to the soy sauce mixture.
