Lemon Garlic Shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the angel hair pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the white wine, chicken broth, and lemon juice to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the liquid has reduced by half.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked angel hair pasta. Toss to combine and heat through.
  7. Add the chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper, if needed.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Make sure to properly devein the shrimp before cooking to avoid any unwanted grit or texture.
  • If you prefer a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes or even some sliced jalapeño peppers to the skillet.
  • For a lower carb option, you can substitute the angel hair pasta with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash.
