Spicy Szechuan Noodles: A Fiery Delight for Your Taste Buds

If you're a fan of spicy food, then this Szechuan-style noodle recipe is perfect for you. This dish combines the heat of Szechuan peppercorns with the umami flavor of soy sauce and the sweetness of honey to create a flavor explosion in your mouth.

To make this dish, you'll need:

  • 8 oz. of dried noodles (such as ramen or spaghetti)
  • 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. of Szechuan peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. of chili oil
  • 2 tbsp. of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. of honey
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp. of sesame seeds, toasted

First, cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

Next, heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Add the crushed Szechuan peppercorns and chili oil and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss with the garlic and Szechuan peppercorns. Add the soy sauce and honey and continue to toss until the noodles are evenly coated.

Transfer the noodles to a serving bowl and top with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
