Spaghetti and meatballs is a classic dish that everyone loves. This recipe is easy to make and is perfect for a cozy night in or a dinner party with friends. The combination of juicy meatballs, tangy tomato sauce, and al dente spaghetti is simply irresistible.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce
To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Next, shape the mixture into meatballs that are about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.
While the meatballs are cooking, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain the spaghetti and set it aside. In a large saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the saucepan with the tomato sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes.
To serve, place a portion of spaghetti on a plate and spoon the meatballs and tomato sauce over the top. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
