Mouth-Watering Mandu (Dumplings) Recipe

If you're looking for a delicious and easy-to-make dish, look no further than mandu, Korean-style dumplings made with a variety of fillings. This recipe yields about 30 dumplings and takes only 30 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of dumpling wrappers
  • 1/2 lb of ground pork or beef
  • 1/2 cup of chopped kimchi
  • 1/2 cup of chopped scallions
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 egg white
  • Water for boiling

For the filling, mix together the pork or beef, kimchi, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and egg white in a bowl.

To assemble the dumplings, place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper. Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together to seal. Repeat until all the filling is used up.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the dumplings and stir gently to prevent sticking. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the dumplings float to the surface.

Serve hot with soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
