Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8-10 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream, for serving (optional)
- Salsa, for serving (optional)
Start by prepping all of your fresh ingredients. Chop the onion, dice the tomatoes, and shred the lettuce. Set everything aside for later.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
Add the chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir everything together until the beef is coated in the spices. Reduce the heat to low and let the beef simmer for 5-10 minutes.
While the beef is simmering, heat your taco shells according to the package instructions.
To assemble your tacos, spoon the beef mixture into the taco shells. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add a dollop of sour cream and some salsa if desired. Enjoy!
