Nothing beats the taste of a classic beef burger. This recipe is easy to follow and will guarantee you the juiciest and most delicious burger you've ever had. Whether you're hosting a BBQ, having a family dinner or just craving a burger, this recipe is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of onion
- 4 tablespoons of ketchup
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Start by preheating your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. While the grill is heating up, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. Mix well and divide the mixture into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, making sure to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. If you're adding cheese to your burgers, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet. Once the buns are toasted, spread a tablespoon of ketchup and mayonnaise on each bun. Add a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a slice of onion on the bottom bun. Place the cooked patty with cheese on top of the vegetables and add the top bun.
Your classic beef burgers are ready to serve! They are juicy, flavorful and perfect for any occasion. Enjoy!
