Ingredients:
- 1 pound of pasta (your choice of shape)
- 1 pound of Italian sausage
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Start by cooking the pasta according to the package directions. While the pasta is cooking, brown the sausage in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute. Next, add the can of diced tomatoes (juice and all) and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Once the pasta is cooked, strain it and add it to the pan with the sausage and tomato mixture. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until everything is well combined. Add the dried basil, salt, and pepper to taste. Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
