Delicious Beef and Bean Chili Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until soft, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pot and stir to combine.
  4. Add the beef broth to the pot and stir to combine.
  5. Add the kidney beans, black beans, and diced tomatoes to the pot and stir to combine.
  6. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the chili is thick and bubbling, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the chili hot, garnished with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped fresh cilantro.

Tips:

  • This recipe can easily be made in a slow cooker. Brown the beef and onions in a skillet, then add all ingredients to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • If you prefer a spicier chili, add more cayenne pepper or use a hotter chili powder.
  • Leftover chili can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
