Ingredients:
- 1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil to the same skillet. Add broccoli, bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Tips:
- If you prefer your vegetables more cooked, you can blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes before stir-frying.
- You can substitute the flank steak with sirloin steak, tenderloin, or even ground beef.
- You can customize the sauce to your liking by adding more or less honey, soy sauce, or hoisin sauce.
