Delicious Instant Pot Butter Chicken Recipe

Butter chicken is a classic Indian dish that is loved all around the world. It's rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. And with the help of an Instant Pot, you can make this mouthwatering dish in no time. Here's how:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, heavy cream, tomato paste, garam masala, garlic, ginger, turmeric, paprika, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).

2. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and melt the butter. Add the onion and cook until soft and translucent. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Add the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth and stir to combine.

3. Secure the lid of the Instant Pot and set it to high pressure for 10 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, use the quick release method to release the pressure. Remove the lid and stir in the cilantro.
