- 8 cups beef broth
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 1 cup fernbrake (gosari), soaked in water for 30 minutes
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced zucchini
- Salt and pepper to taste
