Instructions
- Soak the rice cakes in cold water for about 30 minutes to soften them. Drain and set aside.
- In a pot, add 4 cups of water, dried anchovies, dried kelp, sliced onion, and minced garlic. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for about 15 minutes to make the broth. Remove the anchovies and kelp and discard them.
- Add the gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and salt to the broth. Stir until the sauce is well combined.
