Delicious Spaghetti Carbonara with Garlic Bread Recipe

If you're looking for a quick and easy pasta dish that's packed with flavor, then you'll love this spaghetti carbonara recipe. This traditional Italian dish is made with simple ingredients, but it's bursting with rich and creamy flavors that will leave you craving for more. Plus, it's served with a side of garlic bread that perfectly complements the pasta.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 6 strips bacon, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Begin by cooking the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it's al dente. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until it's crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate.

Add the minced garlic to the bacon fat in the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until it's fragrant. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and Parmesan cheese until smooth.

When the spaghetti is done, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining it. Add the spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and bacon fat and toss to combine. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the egg mixture, tossing quickly to coat the pasta. The heat from the pasta will cook the eggs, creating a rich and creamy sauce. If the pasta seems too dry, add some of the reserved pasta water, 1/4 cup at a time, until it's creamy and saucy.

For the garlic bread, preheat the broiler. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the slices of French bread and place them on a baking sheet. Broil the bread for 1-2 minutes until it's golden brown and crispy.

When everything is ready, serve the spaghetti carbonara in bowls, topped with crispy bacon and chopped parsley. Serve the garlic bread on the side and enjoy!
