Delicious Chinese Dumplings Recipe

Chinese dumplings are a popular dish that can be enjoyed as a snack or a meal. They are made with a filling of meat, vegetables, or seafood, wrapped in a thin layer of dough, and then steamed, boiled, or pan-fried. In this recipe, we will show you how to make delicious Chinese dumplings from scratch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup Napa cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup scallions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package round dumpling wrappers
  • 1/2 cup water

To make the filling, mix the ground pork, Napa cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir until well combined.

To assemble the dumplings, place a small spoonful of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

To cook the dumplings, you can either steam, boil, or pan-fry them. To steam, place the dumplings in a steamer basket and steam for 10-12 minutes. To boil, bring a pot of water to a boil and add the dumplings. Boil for 5-6 minutes. To pan-fry, heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan and cover with a lid. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through.

Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping. Enjoy!
