Delicious Crab Cakes with Tangy Lemon Aioli Recipe

If you're a seafood lover, you're going to absolutely adore these scrumptious crab cakes with zesty lemon aioli. They're perfect for a light lunch, a hearty dinner or even as an appetizer. Here's how to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

To start, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix everything together until it's well combined.

Next, form the mixture into patties of your desired size. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the crab cake patties to the skillet and cook them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they're golden brown and crispy.

Once the crab cakes are cooked through, transfer them to a baking sheet and bake them in the oven for an additional 10-12 minutes. This will ensure that they're perfectly cooked all the way through.

While the crab cakes are baking, you can make the lemon aioli. Simply mix together 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of lemon zest, and 1 clove of minced garlic in a small mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once the crab cakes are finished baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm with a dollop of lemon aioli on top. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices for an extra pop of flavor.
