Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. sirloin steak
- 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Remove the steak from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Add the olive oil to the skillet and let it heat up for a minute.
- Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the desired level of doneness is reached.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for about a minute until the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown and tender.
- Slice the steak against the grain and serve with the garlic butter mushrooms.
