Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is translucent.
- Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add water and stir again.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
